A small change makes a big impact

Having an organic waste bin makes you more attentive to what waste you place where. Adding a compostable waste bin and liners to your household reduces your impact on the environment and supports a sustainable world.

Australian made

The majority of BioBags are Australian made, in our manufacturing facility in Netley, South Australia, close to our customers and minimising our carbon footprint. We're proud to be the only Australian compostable bag manufacturer.

Remove microplastics

Biobags are certified fully compostable and will completely decompose into organic matter within a brief period, in contrast to conventional plastics which will enter our environment for at least hundred years and circle around as damaging microplastics in our soil and water.

Recover energy and nutrient-rich compost

Every year, humankind produces almost 1 billion tons of organic waste. By using compostable bags, the bag itself becomes part of the organic waste, allowing us to recover the resources, and reduce land fill. BioBag supports this sustainable-first approach.

Made from corn starch and vegetable oil

Our products are partly made of renewable resources that can be regrown in a relatively short amount of time. The bags are made of a bioplastic raw material created by combining starch and vegetable oil derivatives with compostable and biodegradable polymer.

Certification

The journey from bag to biomaterial can happen in industrial composting facilities, backyard heaps, or biogas plants—each with different temperatures, microbes, and timelines. Certification ensures products are properly tested and proven to break down effectively in whichever biodegradation process they enter.

Designed to biodegrade over time

BioBag products have been meticulously designed to biodegrade and break down into the soil, at the end of their life. Using scientific research and trial, we have developed products that maintain their strong structure until that time - so you don’t have to worry about bags breaking down while they’re still in use.
